Dyslexia Support

Hello
As a passionate advocate for learners with Special Educational Needs, I offer tutoring, support and advice to learners, their families and education providers.

I provide professional specialist dyslexia assessments, access arrangement testing and tuition to individuals and schools in the Leicestershire and surrounding areas.
About me
I have been a qualified teacher for over 20 years and have worked in special educational needs for 16 years. I have been a qualified SENDCo for the past 8 years working with Primary and Secondary school children. I have experience working with learners and supporting families of children with a range of special needs. I am qualified and experienced in assessing for exam access arrangements and providing 1:1 tuition for learners with literacy difficulties. As a qualified dyslexia assessor and tutor, I hold AMBDA membership and an Assessment Practicing Certificate (APC) with the British Dyslexia Association. I am able to assess for dyslexia, exam access arrangements and can provide reports that meet the requirements for applications of Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). As I have current knowledge of classroom, small group and 1:1 teaching, I am perfectly placed to advise SENDCos on strategies to support progress.
